Order reconciliation

Comparing local purchase records with provider or platform state to ensure an accurate final result.

Networks fail and webhooks can be delayed or duplicated. Reconciliation queries the known order reference and verifies status before delivering again, retrying or refunding. Reseller integrations should preserve the original client reference through timeout recovery to prevent double charges and fulfilment.

Key facts

  • Timeouts often require inquiry, not a new order
  • Webhooks can complement status polling
  • Stable references enable safe recovery
