Game virtual currency

Digital value used inside a particular game rather than a general-purpose payment balance.

Examples include UC, Diamonds, gems, coins or points. These balances ordinarily cannot be moved between unrelated games and are subject to the game publisher's terms. A reseller should distinguish in-game value from a cash-equivalent voucher or an ordinary prepaid card.

Key facts

  • Virtual currencies are normally game-specific
  • Transferability and refunds follow product rules
  • Publish the exact denomination and game title
